Shahid Kapoor rejected Bang Bang, Raanjhanaa and many others

After Jab We Met, Shahid Kapoor’s career almost slowed down. Shahid himself is regretful for having rejected many movies in the past. There are a lot of films that he rejected and amongst the list are record-making films such as Bang Bang and Raanjhanaa.

Director Siddharth Anand’s first choice for Bang Bang was Shahid. Later Hrithik Roshan was finalized. However, this turns out to be a wise decision as Haider and Bang Bang released on the same date. On the other hand, Raanjhanaa was yet other film that the star rejected for Dhanush’s role. Considering the amount of business it did and the fame Dhanush got after the movie, Shahid missed out one of the biggest opportunity.

Other movies that Shahid rejected include, Mira Nair's The Reluctant Fundamentalist opposite Kate Hudson, Once Upon ay Time in Mumbai Dobaara, Gori Tere Pyaar Mein, and Besharam. While some of the decisions turned fruitful, others didn’t made sense at all. It seems that the Haider star is learning from his mistakes and making good decisions thereafter. Shahid’s upcoming projects include Shaandaar and Udta Punjab.
