Shahid-Priyanka to go on world tour to promote Teri Meri Kahaani

Mumbai -- As the release date of Bollywood filmmaker Kunal Kohlis next project Teri Meri Kahaani (TMK) is nearing, the lead actors of the film -- Shahid Kapur and Priyanka Chopra are gearing up for the worldwide promotion of the film. The promotional event will begin on June 7 at the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards in Singapore and then the lead actors will fly to Australia to participate in the Indian Film Festival at Melbourne on June 11. As the film releases on June 22, the Melbourne festival will close with a private screening. Its an honour for us, Kohli said. He added, We will be guests of the State of Victoria, Australia and also have lunch at Melbourne Cricket Ground. All of us are cricket buffs so it will be thrilling to be there. Shahid and Priyanka are both excited to showcase their film in the emerging film markets around the world. The lead pair will also be traveling around the world for promoting the film. We will also have premieres in London, Toronto and Dubai and numerous other, big and small cities visits in India, Kohli informed. The director-producer said, Film festivals such as Cannes, Stuttgart (Germany) or Melbourne help create awareness about Indian films all over the world. Of late, even foreigners are showing active interest in watching Bollywood films. When I was at Stuttgart last time, the Germans knew me! I was pleasantly surprised. I credit Yash Raj Films for marketing their film and hence popularising Indian cinema in Europe.
