Shahrukh Khan, Farhan Akhtar the lead faces of Raees

Superstar Shahrukh Khan and Bollywood’s another perfectionist Farhan Akhtar are coming under one screen for the first time with Rahul Dholakia’s directorial next. The film entitled Raees will showcase Shahrukh as a bootlegger and Farhan will be seeing essaying the role of a cop. The director commented in a statement, "Shooting for this film will begin from mid next year. Shahrukh will be playing a bootlegger and Farhan a policeman. It is an interesting story."

The comedy film is under production and is produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani. Shahrukh and Farhan earlier collaborated in Don and Don 2 where Shahrukh was a lead actor and Farhan financed the film. The film is slated to release on Eid in 2015, as confirmed by the filmmaker himself. Raees will be made under the banner of Excel Entertainment.
