    Singer Shalmali Kholgade, who rose to fame with her power-packed voice in the song Pareshan from Ishaqzade is touted to be one of the most promising playback singers of Bollywood, these days. Having belted out several hits including Daaru Desi and Lat Lag Gayee, the young singer is now ready with her latest song, Aala Aala Re Baji for the upcoming Marathi movie Baji. The song has been composed by Atif Afzal, who considers Kholgade as his lucky mascot.

    “The duo will be collaborating for the third time. She is like a lucky mascot for Afzal because he feels that whenever she sings for him, the song become an instant hit,” says a source close to Afzal. The two first worked together for the Marathi film Pune 52, where she recorded Jag Saare Badle and later on went on to record another song, Kap Kap Kap for the psychological thriller Prague.
