Shilpa Shetty: ‘I Was To Shoot For Chaiyya Chaiyya With Shah Rukh Khan’

Malaika Arora Khan has certainly done more item songs than films in Bollywood. But who better than Malaika could have done justice to 'Chaiya Chaiya'?  The song from Dil Se that made Arbaaz Khan’s wife popular in the industry wasn’t meant to fall in her kitty. While talking about her upcoming wedding song, Shilpa Shetty has revealed that she was the first choice for the song but she rejected the offer because of her prior engagements.

DNA quoted the Dhadkan actress as saying, “I was to shoot for Chaiyya Chaiyya with Shah Rukh Khan, but that didn’t happen as I was busy with some other commitments and then Farah and I were to shoot an ad together which also didn’t release. I would love to work with her”. Shilpa and Farah have been friends from quite long and the actress is looking forward to work with her director-choreographer friend soon.

Meanwhile, the Life In A... Metro star is gearing up for her upcoming medley of popular Bollywood wedding songs, which is to be choreographed by Ahmed Khan. Talking about the song, Shilpa said, “I am in talks with them for the video, but will do it only after I approve the songs”. When asked about her opinion on item songs, the Baazigar actress said, “The audiences like seeing me in that avatar so yes, I don’t mind it, provided the dances are choreographed stylishly”.
