Sholay 3D reunites Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar

The most noted scriptwritersSalim andJaved are back together again. The duo will come together on thetrailer launch of Sholay 3Dfor the first time after32 years. Sholay 3D will be the same1975’sSholay that had Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra in the lead but this will be with 3D effects.

Salim has his say on this, "We worked together for 15 years and despite our different personalities, complimented each other professionally. I don't rule out the prospect of us coming together again." Some personal enmity arose between Salim and Javed and from then on they didn’t work together. But now they look sorted. Salim further commented, "We are more mature now and can look beyond petty issues. There is no block between Javed and me today. We have a few ideas, but they are still half-baked. If we can pen a script together, I don't think there will be any dearth of producers.”

Sholay 3D also stars Sanjeev Kumar, Hema Malini, Jaya Bhaduri and Amjad Khan in pivotal roles. A source showed elation on their collaboration saying, "`Sholay` is their masterpiece and they have decided to come together to launch the trailer of `Sholay 3D`. It will be a moment of nostalgia to see them together on the same platform." The venture will hit theatres on January 3 next year.
