Shraddha Kapoor to replace Nargis Fakhri in Shaukeen remake

‘Rockstar’ actress Nargis Fakhri was on board to step into the shoes of veteran actress Rati Agnihotri for the remake of 1982 flick Shaukeen but we hear that Shraddha Kapoor will take on her role. According to a source, “Talks are on with Shraddha but nothing is finalised.” If Shraddha gives a nod, then she will be playing Rati opposite Akshay Kumar, originally played by Mithun Chakraborty. Other cast that will be featuring Ashok Kumar, Utpal Dutt and AK Hangal are Annu Kapoor, Paresh Rawal and Anupam Kher respectively.

Fakhri talked about her excitement to work on the same, “I was very excited about ‘Shaukeen’ and we had been preparing for a while now. There was another opportunity in the pipeline and we tried to work out the dates so that I could be a part of both but the dates were clashing. I couldn’t have asked the team to wait for me, so it’s heartbreaking but I had to let the film go.” No update on the same has yet shown up. Meanwhile, the Aashiqui 2 actress is working on Ungli, The Villain and Haider.
