Hansal Mehta Wanted To Cast Kangana In 'Simran' Right After 'Gangster'

Bollywood diva Kangana Ranaut is popularly known for being rebellious regarding even the slightest issues. The actress is never in a laidback mode and is always aggressive. Currently, the actress is promoting her upcoming movie ‘Simran’, which is helmed by Hansal Mehta.

Recently, during the trailer launch of the upcoming flick, the director shared his story about his pursuit of signing up the actress. Hansal revealed that he started pursuing Kangana right after she starred in the movie Gangster, even before he had thought about ‘Simran’. Mehta further revealed that his ego was hurt when Kangana refused to star in his movie.

Kangana, who was also present at the event humorously, replied to the filmmaker’s revelation. She was quoted as saying, “I definitely hurt egos of people even though I don't remember the stories”. Apart for Kanagana’s upcoming movie ‘Simran’, the actress is also shooting for her another movie ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’, which will be a period drama.
