Sonam Kapoor Confirmed For ‘The Zoya Factor’?

Sonam Kapoor has been absent from the silver screens since one year but it is not because she is not doing any film. The actress is busy shooting for the yet untitled Sanjay Dutt Biopic, ‘Padman’ and ‘Veerey Di Wedding’. Now, she has one more flick in her kitty other than these three.

If reports are to be believed, Kapoor has been finalised for playing the lead in Anuja Chauhan’s best seller ‘The Zoya Factor’. Anuja wrote this novel in 2008 and was well received in the country. The Asian Age ranked it No. 1 for 3 weeks when it was released. This will be the second time that the Neerja actress will be playing Zoya in any flick. She earlier played Zoya Haider in ‘Raanjhanaa’.

Earlier, Shah Rukh Khan has taken the rights to film the movie. Written by Chauhan, the novel has been published by HarperCollins India. It is about a Rajput girl named Zoya Singh Solanki who meets the Indian Cricket Team through her job as an executive in an advertising agency and ends up becoming a lucky charm for the team for the 2010 Cricket World Cup.
