To preserve film-related memorabilia in a museum is a common practice in Hollywood. Now, Indian film-makers also seem to be inspired by the idea. Telegu director SS Rajamouli will apparently set up a museum to preserve the weapons and armours designed for his upcoming film. Some parts of the film’s set will also be exhibited.

An insider says that Bollywood film-maker Karan Johar, who is the presenter for the Hindi-dubbed version of the film (it’s originally made in Telugu and Tamil), will support Rajamouli’s venture. “When Rajamouli discussed the idea of a museum with Karan, he instantly agreed to work along to make it happen,” says the source.

When contacted, the producer of the film, Shobu Yarlagadda, says, “It is Rajamouli sir’s idea to create the museum. It’s a first for India. We’re excited about it.”
