The veteran filmmaker JP Dutta has signed Suniel Shetty for the sequel of 1997 blockbuster, Border. The director has already roped in Sunny Deol to play the role of a Commanding Officer in the flick, though he won’t enact as a Sikh this time because Dutta feels, “Every film has a different story to tell.”

About Suniel, the maker said, “I can't think of making a film without Suniel. We share a great comfort level.” Though Akshaye has missed out on being the part of the sequel as JP believes, “I thought of casting Akshaye but I realised that I wouldn't have a role which would justify his talent. For reasons best known to him, he has been on a self-imposed exile.”

The story of the movie revolves around the Indo-Pak war of 1971. JP Dutta said, “I felt like making another war film. I was going through the history of armed forces and the Battle of Shakargarh Bulge caught my imagination. I felt it was a story that needed to be told on celluloid.” The maker is planning to relive the success of the first part with its sequel. The shooting is expected to start from October this year.
