Tanu Weds Manu Returns earns Rs. 22 crores in 2 days

Tanu Weds Manu Returns, one of the most anticipated movies of the year, released on May 22 and is going houseful since then. The movie has minted a huge sum in first two days of its release, which amounts to Rs. 21.5 crores. On the first day, the movie hit the box office with a collection of Rs. 8.05 crore.

On the other hand, Deepika Padukone, Irrfan Khan and Amitabh Bachchan starrer Piku is moving closer to the Rs. 70 crore mark after third week of its release. It is also doing a great business in the international market. In its third week, Piku made Rs. 1.50 crore approximately. Comparing to the movies released this year so far, Piku has made best in its third week collection.

While the Kangana Ranaut and R. Madhavan starrer sequel has earned Rs. 22 crores approximately in just two days, Anurag Kashyap’s Bombay Velvet ranked the same on box office after two weeks. On the other hand, Ranbir Kapoor starrer Besharam, which was a flop, did the same amount of business in its first week of release. Further, Tanu Weds Manu Returns is expected to do a healthy business in the domestic market in the coming few weeks.
