Considering the biopic bandwagon going on in Bollywood for quite some time now, one on Kailash Satyarthi is also a must. The Indian social reformer, who strives to protect and ensure children’s rights, won the Nobel peace prize along with the Pakistani teenager Malala Yousafzai in 2014. According to recent reports doing the rounds, film director Brahmanand S. Siingh is gearing up to make a biopic on Satyarthi. Can you guess who has been roped in to play the generous being?

Well, Boman Irani, who reveals he hasn’t met Satyarthi as of now, has been brought on board for the biopic. “It's a film about a little girl looking for her brother who is missing, while working as a child labourer”, revealed Boman, adding, “I canned my portions in a few days. Kailash Satyarthi is a person every Indian should be in awe of. I shot at Mirzapur, it was 47 degrees. It's a wonderful realisation to go there and understand the problems people in different parts of the country go through”.

The film has been titled ‘Jhalki’. Touching upon how he plans to fit to his role, Boman stated, “It's about understanding his beautiful way with children. He is so fearless while carrying out rescue operations. At the same time, with the kids, he was like a child himself. You take the spirit of the person instead of resorting to mimicry. Watching him with (Pakistani activist) Malala Yousafzai (they were awarded the Nobel Peace Prize together in 2014), seeing them refer to each other like they were a father-daughter duo was humbling”.

Boman revealed that he had made Brahmanand promise him to arrange a meeting with Satyarthi. Good luck, Boman!
