Here's What Manoj Bajpayee Has To Say On Losing His National Award For Aligarh To Akshay Kumar

Recently, India’s 64th National Film Awards were announced and the ceremony for the same will be held on 3 May 2017. Akshay Kumar won the National award for Best actor for Rustom, a film based on Nanavati case. After the announcement, many questions were raised as why Aamir Khan’s Dangal and Manoj Bajpayee’s Aligarh were ignored at the Awards.

Fans were disappointed when Manoj couldn’t make it to the National award for Best actor. The actor has now commented on this saying, "Whether you are okay with it or not, you have to accept the (award) judgment, which has come out and move on from there. You can’t base your life on any award in this country. It’s all about moving on and waiting for the next opportunity. This is not the last year of my life”.

The talented performer further added that he is still not satisfied with his work and whatever he has done till now. He said, “I should have utilised 75% of his talent by now. The actor in me still feels that I am using only 25% of my ability. I am constantly looking forward to working with a new director, good narrative, portraying new unique roles and that is why I feel this way”.
