This Is Imtiaz Ali’s Biggest Concern For Jab Harry Met Sejal?

Imtiaz Ali is one such director with whom every actor longs to work. He got his breakthrough with Jab We Met starring Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor. The flick brought him in the league of ace directors. He then made many critically acclaimed flicks such as Love Aaj Kal, Rockstar, Cocktail and Highway.

The director is now all geared up for his upcoming romantic comedy flick Jab Harry Met Sejal starring Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma. When asked if he is worried about the movie’s box-office collections, he said, Whether it is Shah Rukh Khan or Ranbir Kapoor, my bigger concern is whether the film will make enough money to pay its debt. That was my worry regarding this film too. I was aware that since SRK is a part of the film, it will become a number game — almost like a horse racing scenario, [where everyone is speculating whether] the horse will win the derby or not. But, it didn’t bother me. Shah Rukh has the same goal as I do; he just wants to make a good film. That is the only thing we were worried about".

SRK plays the role of a tour guide in the flick, whereas, Anushka plays the role of a Gujarati girl. This will be third collaboration of the actors after Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and Jab Tak Hai Jaan. The flick is slated for a release on August 4.
