This Is Why Vidya Balan May Land Into Legal Trouble

It was in September that the makers of Kamala Das biopic announced that Bollywood’s stunning actress Vidya Balan will be playing the character of writer Kamala Das aka Kamala Surayya onscreen in the biopic. Lately we heard that things turned sour and Vidya withdrew herself from the biopic. Now the last minute withdrawal by the actress has left the makers miffed.

The latest in the front is that the makers have decided to take legal actions against the Kahaani actress. As per the director Kamal, “Well, the producers feel humiliated. They feel they’ve been shown in a poor light in the movie business. My producers are businessmen, and at the end of the day they look at films as business ventures. They’ve lost substantial money because of Vidya’s abrupt departure. We now have to build the market’s confidence in our project from scratch”.

However, he also added that he is in talks with the producers to avert the legal action. He added, “What purpose will it serve? What is done is done. We’ve now found a fabulous replacement for Vidya. It’s time to move on”. After Vidya’s withdrawal from the movie, popular Malayalam actor Manju Warrier will be playing role of Kamala Das in Aami.
