The green corridor initiative, an emergency transfer of donor organs by road, is what the upcoming film ‘Traffic‘ focuses on. Manoj Bajpayee plays the role of traffic constable Godbole with Jimmy Shergill as Police Commissioner Gurbir Singh. Recently, a special screening of the film was held for Mumbai Police.

For the screening, Mumbai Police Commissioner Datta Padsalgikar, Joint Commissioner Police-Traffic Milind Bharambe and Additional Commissioner of Police-Traffic Sunil Paraskar were invited. They appreciated the actor’s performance and thanked Endemol Shine India (production house) Managing Director Ram Mirchandani and Chief Executive Officer Deepak Dhar for highlighting the green corridor initiative. The filmmakers are also planning on another screening for 300 traffic constables.

‘Traffic’ tells the story of a traffic constable who has to deliver a donor heart to a dying girl. It has been inspired from a Malayali film with the same name. Directed by late Rajesh Pillai, ‘Traffic’ will hit the screens on May 6.
