    Tragedy On Sets Of Padmavati, One Death Reported

    A tragic event took place on the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati, where a painter Mukesh Dakia, fell to his death while working on one of the tombs. He suffered major head injury after falling from five feet height. The man succumbed to his injuries and was announced brought dead by Kokilaben hospital.  

    Lead actress Deepika Padukone offered condolences to the deceased family and wrote on his Twitter account, “Shocked and saddened by the news…may his soul rest in peace and my most sincere condolences to his family.” Comments from Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Ranveer Singh, and Shahid Kapoor are yet to be made.

    However, But Amit Ray & Subrata Chakraborty, the Art Directors made it clear by saying, “Padmavati’s sets are completely equipped with the best security measures, this includes workers wearing belts, helmets and harness, despite all of this, no one could foresee such a rare occurrence and unfortunate accident.” Shobha Sant, CEO of Bhansali Productions. The flick is expected to release in November, 2017.
