Varun Dhawan, Deepika Padukone Not Teaming Up For October

Varun Dhawan will soon be working with Shoojit Sircar for the film titled ‘October’. It was being speculated that since Deepika Padukone also expressed her desire to work with Shoojit again, she would star opposite Varun in the film. But, sadly, this won’t be when Varun and Deepika work together.

A source stated that Deepika will not take the part because “the heroine’s role isn’t too lengthy in terms of screen time”. Since there is no official statement from either party, nothing can be confirmed. This will be Varun’s first time working with the director but Deepika has previously worked with Shoojit in ‘Piku’.

Another source stated that the actor and filmmaker have finalized the script. “It’s not another light-hearted, feel-good film. Rather, it’s quite dark. And more than dark, it’s heartbreaking”, said the source. The same source stated that the shooting for the film will start after Varun completes ‘Judwaa 2’.
