Varun Dhawan Or Pulkit Samrat In Indra Kumar’s ‘Dil’?

Varun Dhawan or Pulkit Samrat may be seen in the remake of 1990 blockbuster ‘Dil’. Earlier, a newcomer was to be cast for the male lead but now Indra Kumar is considering either Varun Dhawan or Pulkit Samrat for the role and Indra’s daughter Shweta Kumar for the female lead. A source said, “Initially, buzz was that a newcomer will be cast for the role. But now, Indra is thinking of approaching Varun and Pulkit”.

A source said, “It was Shweta who suggested Varun and Pulkit’s names for the lead role. She is keen to have one of them on board. It all depends on their dates, so nothing has been finalised yet. There was a time when even Tiger Shroff was being considered for the role”.

Originally, ‘Dil’ featured Madhuri Dixit and Aamir Khan in the lead roles. The flick was also remade in Telugu in 1993 under the title ‘Tholi Muddhu’. Varun Dhawan is currently awaiting the release of his upcoming flick ‘Dishoom’ and Pulkit Samrat was last seen in ‘Junooniyat’.
