    Veteran Poet Javed Akhtar Reveals Why He Refused To Work In The 1998 Movie Kuch Kuch Hota Hai

    Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is known to have starred in movies such as Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Dilwale and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. As it is known, King Khan is making a comeback to the small screens. The star will be hosting the upcoming show ‘TED Talks India Nayi Soch’.



    The show recently saw the presence of legendary writer and lyricist Javed Akhtar . On being asked about the reason behind refusing to work in the 1998 movie Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, the veteran celebrity was quoted as saying, “I thought the movie’s name had a lot of double meaning. I was not convinced to write for this project”. The poet further stated, “But I was all praise for SRK in ‘ Kal Ho Naa Ho ‘ and I am happy I could be a part of the journey”.



    He further added, “I used the words I rejected earlier to make a more meaningful song which you all (audience) made popular called Kuch toh hua hai, kuch hogaya hai”. Javed Akhtar is known to have a career as a writer spanning to more than 30 years. Akhtar recently celebrated his 33rd marriage anniversary with his wife and actress Shabana Azmi .
