Vidya Balan Talks About Sexism In Bollywood And Working With Spouse Siddharth Roy Kapur In Future

Bollywood diva Vidya Balan is known for her exceptional acting in various movies such as Parineeta, Paa and Ishqiya. The National award winning actress, who made her debut with Indian sitcom Hum Paanch has contributed a lot to the Bollywood film industry. Recently, the actress was present at a promotional event of a brand in Lucknow in which the actress was helping children to learn English.

The actress stated her opinion on the issue of sexism in the Indian movie industry during the event. Vidya was quoted as saying, “I would want to see Bollywood independent of sexism”. The Kahaani star further added, “I am not saying that there is a lot of sexism in Bollywood. And it is not just there in Bollywood whatever is present in society, is present in Bollywood as well. It is important that we get rid of it".

The actress was also asked if she would be working with her spouse Siddharth Roy Kapur in future. Balan was quoted as saying, “It is important to keep certain things away from each other”. Vidya Balan was last seen in the movie ‘Begum Jaan’ and will be next seen in ‘Tumhari Sulu’, which is helmed by Suresh Triveni.
