    None is ignorant about the Khans of Bollywood - Shah Rukh, Salman and Aamir - blocking festival dates for the release of their projects. Director-producer Vikas Bahl also agrees with the idea of festive releases earn better. "It's good that the Khans are releasing films during festive periods ", the Queen director said at the trailer launch of Masaan. 

    Director Neeraj Ghaywan’s latest flick Masaan recently got screened at Cannes Film Festival this year. At the trailer launch of which, he said, "The good part is that you get to show the film to a new, wider audience; you get buyers; it creates a buzz back home". But on the other hand, he contradicted his own statement by adding that films released on festivals are seen as arty.

    Whereas according to Vikas, releasing films on festivals helps the low-on-budget movies. Bahl revealed that he always tries to make different kinds of films. He said, “We like to experiment with them”. The Lootera producer also shared that fresh ideas attract him because of the challenges involved.
