Vikram Bhatt's Ankur Arora Murder Case faces legal problem

An upcomingBollywood medical thrillerAnkur Arora Murder Case is under legal scanner after a major biscuit brand has sent a court notice to them. If the sources are to be believed then Vikram Bhatt's ASA Productions Pvt.Ltd., who is co-producing the film has put allegations on them that they are showing their product in bad light.

The biscuit manufacturing company has claimed that because of the film trailer that shows a child dying on an operation table after consuming a biscuit of theirs, has negatively affected the reputation of their company. The company has suffered financial losses and has demanded a recovery amount of Rs. 1 crore in addition to an unconditional apology. The biscuit manufacturing company can also claim infringement of both copyright and trademark act for visually representing their product without prior permission.

However the ASA Productions has responded to the notice stating that the trademark act has not been infringed. The boy doesn’t die of the biscuit consumption but because of the medical negligence. The production company has however said that they will not lose anything but will gain and that too free of cost. However, a settlement has been done i.e. to blur the brand name. Vikram Bhatt stated on the same, "We have agreed to blur the visual in the film and promotions out of goodwill and they have agreed to withdraw their charges subject to us blurring the same." We hope that the movie opens in theatres without any further glitches.
