    Indian film and television actor Vinay Apte, 62, known for contributing in several Marathi flicks passes away. The director-producer took his last breath on Saturday evening at Kokilaben Ambani hospital in Andheri. The actor was suffering from severe breathing problems and was having low blood pressure. His body came to rest when his pulse came down.

    COO of Kokilaben Ambani hospital conveyed, "Mr Vinay Apte was admitted to the hospital yesterday at 8.24 pm. He died today at 5.45 pm. The cause of his death is multiple organ failure and secondary to acute coronary syndrome." The industry went on Twitter and posted condolences, messages on legendary actor’s death. Editor of Loksatta, Girish Kuber posted, “Very sad. Talented actor #Vinay Apte no more.”

    Vinay made extra ordinary contribution in Bollywood flicks like Satyagraha, Aarakshan, Dhamaal, Aakrosh, Chandni Bar and many more. His work in the direction of Television includes Madhubala-Ek Ishq Ek Junoon and Adalat in Hindi while Durva, Agnihotra and Eka Lagnachi Dusari Goshtain Marathi. The actor left behind his wife and a son Vihaan.
