Vishal Bharadwaj discards any news of making ‘The Departed’ remake with Hrithik

After a strong wind of rumours started floating about Vishal Bharadwaj directing Hrithik Roshan for the Hindi remake of ‘The Departed’, the filmmaker has come out to refuse the genuineness of the story. Vishal Bharadwaj told that while he and Hrithik and he have been trying to figure something out, it is not ‘The Departed’.

A lot of news stories were touting about the two joining hands for a project which Sajid Nadiadwala would apparently produce. Clarifying the status of progress, Vishal said, “Hrithik and I have been trying to work for a long time. After every film he completes and I complete, we meet and decide that we will do a film together. I hope it works out this time but not sure.” He also told that though he was pitching in for ‘The Departed’ remake, it was a long time ago. “It won’t be ‘Departed’. I am not going to make a remake of it. I was thinking about it a long time back, probably six or seven years back,” he added.
