Vivek Oberoi lands in Mumbai Saga to essay a cop

Filmmaker Sanjay Gupta is again teaming up with Vivek Oberoi in the up-and-coming project titled Mumbai Saga after their last union in Shootout at Lokhandwala. Sanjay was in search of suitable lead for the venture and it is reported that Vivek is signed in to essay the role of encounter specialist and head of the Anti-Extortion Cell Vijay Salaskar in the film.

The source commented on the same, "Vivek and Gupta had met at Gupta's house to discuss the role. Vivek has loved his role.The modalities are being worked out." The movie is to go on floors on August 15. By the time, Vivek has to prepare himself for the character. John Abraham, Sonu Sood, Tusshar Kapoor are already finalised for title characters. The film is based on the true story of Vijay Salaskar, who was shot dead during 2008 Mumbai terror attacks. He was awarded with Ashoka Chakra in 2009.
