Vivek Oberoi: ‘We are happy to announce the birth of our baby girl’

The Bollywood actor, Vivek Oberoi, has become a proud father again after his wife Priyanka Alva gave birth to a baby girl in a Bengaluru hospital at around 12 noon on Tuesday. The couple, who got married in 2010, also has a 2-year-old son, Vivaan Veer. The actor’s friends killed no time in wishing him on Twitter. Om Shanti Om director Farah Khan tweeted, “congrats 2 @vivek oberoi n Priyanka 4 the arrival of their baby girl.Ul need more flexibility now,2 b twisted round her lil finger 4 life (sic)”.

In a statement, the excited father said, “We are happy to announce the birth of our baby girl. Our family is now complete. Daughters are very special and Priyanka and I are so incredibly happy to welcome our baby girl into the world today. Both mother and the baby are doing fine and I’d like to thank everyone for their wishes”. Sharing his happiness, the actor further added, "Finally, my daughter was born on the auspicious day of Akshay Tritiya, I couldn't be happier. Both the mother and daughter are healthy and well".

According to sources, Vivek is in Bangalore and plans to spend some quality time with his family. The actor is currently working on a comic caper, ‘Bank Chor’, which also features Riteish Deshmukh and Rhea Chakraborty. The flick is being made under the banner of Yash Raj Films.
