Wacky writer Saif in modern love story

Actor Saif Ali Khan’s name pops up almost instantly in everyone’s mind, when it comes to playing the role of a cool, wacky, eccentric character.

And that’s exactly what Khan is playing in his upcoming film, Happy Ending. The 44-year-old will be seen portraying Yudi — a writer in Hollywood who seems to be going through a crisis in this personal and professional life — LA style! “Yudi (Saif) is a reluctant writer who had a hit book five years ago and is trying to stretch the perks of that — fame, money, girls — for as long as possible. He has also accumulated a lot of ‘ex-es’ baggage over years of unsuccessful relationships,” says director Raj Nidimoru. Actor Ileana D’Cruz plays Saif’s love interest in the modern-day love story.
