Was Jacqueline Asked To Play Second Fiddle To Parineeti Chopra In Namastey Canada?

It seems that Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez has come a long way from her debut movie Aladin alongside Amitabh Bachchan and Ritesh Deshmukh in 2009. From her debut movie to this date, the Kick actress has always ensured that she is being casted as the leading lady of every movie. It is being said that the actress was approached by the makers of the movie ‘Namastey Canada’, where she was asked to play a secondary role.

It is also being said that Parineeti Chopra has been roped in as the leading lady of that ‘Namastey Canada’. A close source was quoted as saying, “Jacqueline is doing some big films with top stars, including A Gentleman with Sidharth Malhotra, Judwaa 2 with Varun Dhawan, Drive with Sushant Singh Rajput and director Remo D'Souza's untitled next with Salman Khan. She didn't want to play a role subordinate to Parineeti. Jackie's market price is also more than Pari's. Why would she do Namastey Canada?”.  

On the other side, the director of ‘Namastey Canada’, Vipul Shah was quoted as saying, “I don't know where you have heard this from. I have not met anybody for the role”. Aurangzeb star Arjun Kapoor will also be starring in ‘Namastey Canada’.
