Kapil Sharma Reassures Fans That He Will Be Back Soon

There has been a lot of speculation about Kapil Sharma and his show ever since it went off air earlier this month - is he unwell, is the channel planning to axe his show for good, will he return with his show or will he come back with another solo show? Last week, reports of a Sunil Grover show being planned for the same slot sparked rumours that Kapil may not return with his hit TV show at all. However, in a Twitter chat on Sunday, the actor-comedian has assured fans that he will return soon, with the show.

He got a direct question from a fan who asked: “I have heard that after Firangi (shoot), The Kapil Sharma Show will be back, is it true?” To this, Kapil said, “Yes, where else will I go?”

Another fan asked him, “when are you coming back wid ur show? weekend bahut boring ja rahe hai. Come soon... Luv uu!,” and Kapil replied, 'Jaldi awaange paji.. thanks for ur love(very soon brother, love you).”

Another user tweeted to Kapil, “Hi Kapil when ur show will start and all the best for ur film (firangi),” to which he replied, “Will come soon.. thank u.”

Last week, it was reported that Kapil Sharma has left rehab 28 days before he was supposed to as he has given up alcohol within 12 days of his stay at the Benguluru ayurvedic centre. According to a DNA report, Kapil was supposed to stay in the rehab for 40 days but has left for Mumbai already due to work commitments. “He needed to return to Mumbai to complete his film Firangi and start promoting and marketing it for its November release,” a close friend of Kapil said.

Kapil took the break from work due to health concerns. He had complained of problems with his blood pressure and told DNA in an interview that he was at an ayurvedic ashram to recover.

Several actors including Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn and their crew had to return from the sets when Kapil failed to turn up for shoot. Sony Entertainment channel, which telecasts the show, had decided to take a break from airing fresh episodes till Kapil recovers completely.

Kapil has been going through a rough patch since March when he had a mid-air fight with Sunil that reportedly ended with him throwing a show at his co-actor. Kapil was reportedly under the influence of alcohol when the incident happened. Sunil has since refused to work with him.
