Why Did Kareena Kapoor Khan Reject Shah Rukh Khan’s Film With Anand L Rai?

For Anand L Rai, who is making is next with Shah Rukh Khan, finding the leading lady was not an easy task. Earlier there were reports of Alia Bhatt or Deepika Padukone doing the film, however, both of them rejected the offer. However, after a long hunt, the filmmaker finalised Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif as the two female leads.

However, we have some information regarding the movie that may be unknown to many. According to reports, Deepika, Anushka, Alia or Katrina were not the first choice for the film. Before the filmmaker went to these actresses he approached Kareena Kapoor Khan for the film, but she rejected.

“The filmmaker offered the role to Kareena, but her dates were clashing with Veerey Di Wedding. Also, she did not want to start shooting immediately post motherhood as she wanted to lose all the weight that she had gained. That’s how Rai approached Anushka for the role and she was on board,” revealed a source.

The shooting of the movie has kick-started and SRK has already shot a few portions. Both Katrina and Anushka will join the sets in a couple of days.
