Why Is Ranbir Kapoor Stalking Katrina Kaif On Social Media?

Former lovers Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif are gearing up for the release of their forthcoming movie ‘Jagga Jasoos’ directed by Anurag Basu. Though the two are no longer together, however they have been promoting the film in a very amicable manner. Though in the past, the Barfi actor made it clear that he doesn’t like being acting on social media because of the time that it demands, however, recently in an interview he said that it is a good tool to keep a check on his former lovers.

He also said that he secretly uses social media to know about celebrities and his ex flames. Ranbir’s increase use of social media certainly indicates that he is suffering from stalker syndrome. When asked from relationship expert Dr Srikanth Acharya about this unusual behaviour of Ranbir, he said “It’s nothing unusual — what Ranbir Kapoor has done post breaking up with Katrina Kaif. Men in general become very sensitive after a relationship ends; whereas women come to terms quickly. It is then that they resort to stalking their former lover just to keep a check on their lives.”

He added that the guy tends stalk to his former love if he is not engaged in anything productive. Psychologist Harpreet Kandhari says that when a person breaks with their partner, the relationship doesn’t end soon. In fact, they get curious to know what is going on in their lives. They tend to view their past posts and get nostalgic of how happy they used to be. She further stated that people do this just to keep a tab and not to hurt the other person.

The experts also said that it is not only the boy who stalks but girls also do. “Both the genders resort to stalking but girls do it silently and the guys are more open about it,” says Harpreet.
