Why Kangana opted out of Reema Kagti’s Mr. Chaalu?

As we read reports of Priyanka Chopra replacing Kangana Ranaut in Reema Kagti’s next directorial Mr. Chaalu, the reasons about it still remain under wraps. If some sources are to believe, Kangana preferred working in Sujoy Ghosh’s ‘Devotion of Suspect X’ alongside Saif Ali Khan dodging Reema and Excel.

Reema’s push for the project to go on floors early this year had a setback already when Saif opted out of the film. Following this, even the actors shortlisted to come onboard seemed reluctant to join the bandwagon. While the team was working hard to get the male lead onboard, Kangana’s exit was an unforeseen jolt.

Ironically enough, Kangana is now paired opposite Saif in ‘Devotion of Suspect X’ and the pair that couldn’t formulate for Mr. Chaalu has taken the stage for this Balaji production. While Saif’s exit could be comprehended by the fact that he didn’t want to play a charming playboy again, Kangana probably just took the better project on the list. Mr. Chaalu meanwhile has seen some new shapeups, while Priyanka has come in as the female lead, Fawad Khan seems to have bagged the title role. Let’s hope things turn out well this time for poor Reema!
