Actor Naseeruddin Shah’s outstanding contribution to Indian Cinema is truly remarkable. No doubt, the 66-year-old actor is a prominent figure in Bollywood. Last seen essaying the role of a criminal in Himesh Reshammiya’s Teraa Surroor, the ace actor will now be seen playing the role of a man whose wife is in a coma in his upcoming movie Waiting, which is scheduled for release on May 27.

Recently, the Ishqiya actor talked about the way he managed to play his part. “You portray any emotion according to how you, as a person, would respond to that situation, I believe. First you have to surrender yourself at the feet of the character and then you have to see the tragedy from his point of view”, stated Naseeruddin.

“I had to bring all my feelings of love, gratitude and acknowledgement. The feelings that I have for my wife Ratna (Pathak Shah), I had to transfer them towards Suhasini (Suhasini Maniratnam who plays his wife)”, added The Dirty Picture actor.

Naseeruddin also cleared that he didn’t imagine his real life wife while acting with his on-screen spouse stating, "That would be wrong, dishonest. It is like thinking of your dog's death while enacting a scene of your mother's death on screen. You have to transfer your emotions and feel that she is my wife in an imaginary world”.
