Your Speculations Are False: Hansal Mehta On Reports Of Kangana Turning Editor For Simran
Kangana Ranaut’s upcoming film ‘Simran’ has been in the news for quite some time now and it hasn’t always been for the right reasons. Earlier, the team got embroiled in a controversy where Apurva Asrani, the writer for the flick, slammed Kangana through a Facebook post. The most recent issue is that according to a leading tabloid, the actress has turned editor for the film, which is not true.
The tabloid has stated that the actress has taken up the role of editor and has been giving inputs for what should and shouldn’t be part of the trailer that is supposed to be released on August 8. These reports have now been negated by the director himself who said, “Kangana is an integral part of the #Simran team and as a key member of a democratic team we value her inputs and involvement”, through a Twitter post.
He also went on to say, “It is even more ridiculous to drag Vishal and Rangoon in your piece. Your speculations are false, malicious and misguided”. Shailesh R Singh, who is the producer for the project, also spoke about the report and said that these stories are baseless. According to a source close to the team, someone is trying to raise negativity around the film. The source also stated that the team has decided to fight the negativity together.
