YRF sells Ek Tha Tigers satellite rights for Rs 75 crore?

Though the Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer Ek Tha Tiger is yet to hit the theatres, the YRF film is already making new records, according to reports. If rumours are to be believed then the satellite rights of the film, which is releasing on August 15, have been sold for a whopping Rs 75 crore and makers have recovered the entire cost of the film just by the sale of the satellite rights. However, Senior Executive Vice President and Business Head of Sony Entertainment Television Sneha Rajani rejected all such rumours, saying, "Let me set the record straight. Sony had clinched the deal for the Satellite Rights of Ek Tha Tiger almost 15 to 16 months ago, not last week or in the recent past. In fact, we clinched the deal even before the Yash Raj commenced filming Ek Tha Tiger. Besides, do you think we would've paid this ridiculous price 15-16 months ago? We wouldn't settle for it even today." The Kabir Khan-directed film has also created history in Tamil Nadu by becoming the first Hindi film to release in 100 plus screens across the state.
