10 years of imprisonment for Johnny Depp?

Hollywood superstar, Johnny Depp is accused of breaking Australia’s strict biosecurity laws. Earlier in this month, the 51-year-old actor landed in Australia on a private jet and illegally brought his two dogs. Australia's Minister of Agriculture, Barnaby Joyce has asked the actor take away his pet dogs until Saturday in a televised statement. Alongwith the Pirates of the Caribbean star, the pilot could also face a maximum of two-years sentence in prison, if its confirmed that he was aware of the dogs’ presence.

Joyce said that Depp had decided to bring the two dogs to “our nation, despite not getting the proper certification and the proper permits required. Basically it looked like he snuck them in.” It seems that Depp has taken the issue seriously and has started formulating a plan to move the two Yorkshire Terriers, Pistol and Boo away from Australia. The star had come to shoot in Australia for his latest instalment of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.

If the 2012 Guinness World Records holder does not obey the instructions timely, his life can take a U-turn. As reported by People magazine, if the actor is found to be guilty then he could face up to ten years in jail or a maximum fine of USD 265,000. Also, the passengers and the flight crew did not reveal the dogs’ presence as they had come to know about it only when the photos were posted online.
