86th Academy Awards: Gravity rules, Matthew McConaughey Best Actor, Cate Blanchett Best Actress of 2014
The most awaited moment has finally arrived and it’s time to see, who has arrived as the best in Oscar’s this year. Well, the 86th Academy Awards going on in city’s Dolby Theatre has finally announced Matthew McConaughey as the Best Actor in a Leading Role for Dallas Buyers Club and on the other hand, the Best Actress in a Leading Role went to Cate Blanchett for her performance in Blue Jasmine.

12 Years a Slave remained this year’s Best Picture, while Gravity surfaced as a flick that secured maximum number of awards in categories like Visual Effects, Sound Mixing, Sound Editing, Film Editing, Directing and Cinematography. Alfonso Cuaron of Gravity achieved Best Director award. Frozen was the Best Animated Feature Film. The Great Gatsby also became front-runner earning achievements in Costume Design and Production Design.
