The ‘Aaliyah’ project put on hold as Zendaya pulls out

The delay in shaping up the biopic based on late singer Aaliyah doesn’t seem to take a break. While it already took ages for the confirmation of the project to finally take place, now the lead actress Zendaya has pulled out of the project to further put delay.

The biopic was set to be an adaptation of the bestselling novel Aaliyah: More Than A Woman by Christopher Farley who was the former Time magazine music editor. The project was initially titled ‘Aaliyah: Princess of R and B’ and was to showcase the life of the 22 year R and B diva who was killed in a plane crash while she was returning to the U.S. post recording a music video in the Bahamas. The movie was scheduled to roll in the summer of 2014.
