Aaron Paul may lead in Star Wars spinoff

Breaking Bad's Aaron Paul is rumored to be in one of the top spots for the male lead in Star Wars spinoff. Gareth Edwards is directing from a script by Gary Whitta, which is currently being rewritten by Chris Weitz. Disney has already set a December 16, 2016 release date for the spinoff.

The spinoff movie is expected to follow the story of a young Han Solo, although no one close to the film has confirmed or denied that rumor. According to other rumors, the film could also be about a special team of bounty hunters, like Boba Fett. Some websites have speculated that Breaking Bad’s Jesse could play a young Han Solo. After his five-season run on Breaking Bad, Aaron Paul starred in four features last year, Need for Speed, Hellion, A Long Way Down and Exodus: Gods and Kings. He will next be seen in Triple Nine, Eye in the Sky and The 9th Life of Louis Drax.
