Adam McKay Collaborates With Jennifer Lawrence For Another Controversial Story

After making financial crisis of 2007–2008 not only understandable but also enjoyable in Oscar-winning ‘The Big Short’, Adam McKay is all set to present another controversial story on the big screen. Most in-demand actress Jennifer Lawrence has joined hands with the filmmaker for the project, which will narrate the story of controversial blood-testing start-up called Theranos. The leading lady will be seen playing the role of Elizabeth Holmes, the 32-year-old founder of the company who barely steps out of home without wearing a black turtleneck.

The title of the film hasn’t been decided as yet. Besides acting, Lawrence will also produce the flick along with McKay, who will write as well as direct the project reportedly. No studio has bagged the rights of the film as of now as meetings for the same are scheduled to take place in coming weeks.

Theranos, the company which apparently revolutionized blood testing by using pinprick technique instead of conventional method of drawing blood with the help of injection, was founded in 2003 by Holmes. The company has been accused of inaccurate test results; for which it is under criminal investigation. Further, how the company lost $4.5 billion overnight is another exploratory issue upon which the movie will be based.
