Walt Disney Pictures brought the fantasy adventure film, 'The Jungle Book', in 2016, helmed by Jon Favreau. The film is based on Rudyard Kipling's eponymous collective works and is a story of Mowgli. Now, actor-filmmaker Andy Serkis, who has helmed a motion capture interpretation of Rudyard Kipling's 1894 book for Warner Bros. Pictures, has said that his 'My Jungle Book' is more savage than Disney.

He said, "We were neck and neck for some time. And the fact of the matter is we probably could've come out in cinemas closer together. But the decision was 'why do that?' I saw their film, and it's great, but ours is a completely different take. Ours is much more savage. There are no songs, and it's not meant for young families".

The 53-year-old actor’s 'My Jungle Book' was scheduled to release in 2016 but it was delayed. The flick will now hit the theatres in 2018. Christian Bale plays Black Panther Bagheera in Serkis' film, whereas, Benedict Cumberbatch is the evil Shere Khan.
