Embracing the change in her body, Angelina Jolie proudly says that she loves being in menopause. The actress, who earlier this year made headlines for having removed her ovaries and fallopian tubes as a preventive measure against cancer, is totally comfortable in her skin. She publically had exclaimed her decision by referring her surgery as something that “puts women into a forced menopause” and now the actress is happy that the phase isn’t as bad as it could.

While talking to Daily Telegraph, the actress has been quoted as saying, “I actually love being in menopause. I haven't had a terrible reaction to it, so I'm very fortunate. I feel older, and I feel settled being older”.

“I feel happy that I've grown up. I don't want to be young again”, she added. The Hollywood actress has already gone through a preventive mastectomy in 2013, after having tested positive for the mutated BRCA1 gene, which according to the doctors had “87 per cent risk of breast cancer and a 50 per cent risk of ovarian cancer”. Angelina’s mother, Marcheline Bertrand, had died battling breast and ovarian cancer at the age of 56, and she didn’t want her children to suffer from the same.
