Angelina Jolie Pitt and Charlize Theron collaborate for Captain Marvel?

Angelina Jolie and Charlize Theron will team up for Captain Marvel. This will be the latest big screen adaptation of Marvel comic book series. The grapevine has it that Marvel Studios have been pursuing Jolie to direct the film.

A source close to the development of the project has said that Marvel has been trying to acquire the services of Angelina Jolie Pitt to direct the film. While Charlize Theron is a clear favourite to land the leading role, reported by Daily Star. The source also revealed that if Theron lands the role, then Angelina Jolie will surely work with her friend.

Captain Marvel will be the first women superhero character in the Marvel Universe to front her own film. The movie will be the 20th superhero film to be released by Marvel Studios. Captain Marvel is slated for release in 2018. Charlize Theron was last seen on the big screen in Mad Max: Fury Road, while Angelina Jolie’s By the Sea is slated for release later this year.
