Anthony Russo Talks About Avengers: Infinity War Part 1, 2

Completing the Avengers trilogy started by ‘The Avengers’ (2012) and continued by ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ (2015) will be ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Part 1 and 2. The movies will be directed by Anthony and Joe Russo. The directors recently shared some details on the two part film and said that they will be quite different from each other.

According to io9, Anthony stated, “The movies are very very different from one another. It’s not a part one and part two scenario, necessarily. They’re just two different expressions. I think it creates a misconception that we’re shooting them at the same time”. Talking about the Captain America instalments, Joe stated, “There’s an overarching story that’s going to be told through all four films. And I think having the amount of characters we have in [Civil War] certainly prepares us to deal with probably triple the amount of characters in Infinity War”.

'Avengers: Infinity War' Part 1 is planned for a release on May 4, 2018 with Part 2 releasing on May 3, 2019. Following the recent trend of shifting dates in the Marvel calendar, it is quite possible that these movies will also have a change in release dates. According to Kevin Feige, the studio is working on movies that will be announced in 2019.
