The recently released Harry Potter spin-off, ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’, was a treat for the fans as it brought back memories from when the series had taken the world by storm. Though it had only a few references from the Harry Potter era, the mention of Dumbledore would be the one reference that stuck out the most. It is well known that the recently released flick will have sequels and reportedly, the upcoming part will explore Dumbledore’s sexuality. Recently, Arthur Darvill expressed his desire to play the character in his young age.

Arthur shared that he has a pact with himself which states that after a certain age, he will only play wizards. “I've made this pact with myself that when I hit a certain age, I'm only going to play wizards. I want to be that guy. So whether it's 10 years down the line or... When I can grow a salt and pepper beard, I would be totally happy just playing wizards for the rest of my life”, Arthur explained.

He added, “But yeah, if they came knocking saying, 'We really want you to play the young Dumbledore', I'd definitely consider it!”. The actor is known for his role in ‘Doctor Who’ where he plays Rory Williams, one of the Eleventh Doctor's companions. He has three feature films in his kitty which include ‘Pelican Blood’, ‘Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll’ and ‘Robin Hood’.
