It’s believed May 6, 2016 will see the biggest superhero box office face-off in the history of Hollywood. It has also been learnt that the particular date was first acquired by Marvel and Disney for their grand release. However, discrepancies in shooting schedules and post-production work structure can always change the release dates. In addition, Marvel and Disney has another untitled project in their hands which they are planning to release the same summer on July 8.
Since the past one decade the first weekends of summers have been owned by Marvel films which have showed some mammoth records in the history of cinema. So it was a matter of surprise when Warner Bros. announced that they will open Batman-Superman on May 6, 2016 as well. Initially this Ben Affleck-Henry Cavill starrer was supposed to hit the big screens in summer 2015 but its release has been postponed for an entire year. While promoting Captain America: The Winter Soldier Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige announced he has no plans to move out from his May 6 schedule. However, box-office experts have doubts whether such huge superhero projects will ultimately open against each other or not and only time will reveal the final outcome in future.
