Snyder said, "It's beyond mythological to have Superman and our new Batman facing off, since they are the greatest super heroes in the world.” Snyder’s Man of Steel marked a successful comeback of the Superman franchise this year earning $650 million worldwide. The Man of Steel sequel, which is yet to get a title, is eyeing a July 17, 2015 release and it will mark the reunion of Man of Steel actors Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane. Affleck is the latest addition to the club of actors who have been cast earlier as Batman like Michael Keaton, George Clooney and the most recent one Christian Bale in Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy.
