The 41-year-old Hollywood heartthrob will be performing double roles in the film as an actor and the director. The project’s script has been penned by Will Staples. The film will be produced by Affleck's friend and collaborator Matt Damon along with Jennifer Todd under the banner of Pearl Street Films. The film is, as told by a source, "an examination of the moral ambiguities of how philanthropy and foreign assistance veers into modern day neo-colonialism.”The film revolves around a group of greedy people who plan to kill a warlord as he victimises his own people. The subject of the film is said to be quite appreciated by Affleck. He has signed up for another project titled Live by Night, a period crime drama which is a big-screen adaptation of the best-selling novel by Dennis LeHane.
